On the back of a performance in Dubai in April 2009, London based Solo Violinist, Diana Yukawa, has been asked to headline a show in Qatar at EMIR Football Cup Final on 16th May to a crowd of 60’000 people in The Khalifa Stadium.

This event is the most followed one-day sports event in Qatar and it is here that the country will officially announce their hosting of the 2022 Football World Cup. Together with the obligatory fireworks, projection, lasers and aerial balloons, Yukawa will unveil her sound to the excitable crowd.

The young violinist is soon to sign to Sony Music and is due to release the album in October this year, starting in Japan.

Yukawa has spent the last 3 years working on her own, unique sound and comments “it was a huge relief to get the support of a major label once again”.

Over the past 3 months Diana has been in the studio working on her original material for the album. Teaming up with esteemed producer, Andy Wright (Massive Attack, Pavarotii, Jeff Beck, Simply Red) - Diana will create her brand new, innovative and modern sound.
The backbone of the album has been complete and over the coming months Yukawa and Wright are due to record at Abbey Road Studio’s in London.
